Hamrock's Restaurant is located within the Moore-McCandlish House (built 1842) in the heart of historic Fairfax City. We've been proud to serve delicious made-to-order American dishes using fresh ingredients since our establishment in 2016. We also have a wonderful hand-selected wine list to enhance your dining experience. Approximately eighty-percent of our menu is-- or can be-- gluten-free, as we use only canola and olive oil in all of our cooking. Some of our best-selling dishes are our southern fried chicken, grilled meatloaf, and crab cakes-- all which are gluten free! Other menu favorites include our deviled eggs, firecracker shrimp, Atlantic grilled salmon, roasted pork tenderloin, and penne pasta with andouille sausage & shrimp. We have beautiful year-round outdoor seating options on our wrap around porch (we have heaters!) In the warmer months, we also open our courtyard. We're also more than happy to accommodate business dinners or other special occasions in private rooms.

Chef Eugenia Hobson and her team prepare authentic Greek dishes served attentively in a breezy Aegean-inspired atmosphere. Our signature dishes include the grilled octopus, the kolokithokeftedes (stuffed zucchini fritters), the lavraki whole fish (branzino) filleted table side, and the arni giouvetsi (lamb shank with orzo).     You can imagine how busy Mother’s Day brunch at 1pm is for the restaurant. When we got there for our reservation, the energy level was right at the top. Lots of folks, a bunch waiting. We were delayed by 20 minutes but frankly, it wasn’t a big deal to get seated. We were a party of 7 adults with 3 men, 6’5” tall. They attempted to seat us at a table that really could comfortably seat maybe 5-6 people. We asked to wait for a larger table. They accommodated our request with a smile (thank you), and with in a few minutes were seated at a table that was large enough for us to be extremely comfortable. Our server told us it was her first day on the job. She did amazing. She made sure that our order was understood, by reading it back and checked in with us every so often to be sure things were good. If you’ve not been, the portions are always huge. Bring your appetite for sure. For the 7 of us, we had 6 different meals. Every one commented on how good their meal was. From the server to the hostess to the duty manager, everyone was so helpful. They even brought a rose for each of the 4 ladies at the table. What a great treat on Mother’s Day!!
