Restaurants near Possum Point Power Station

We finally tried the new Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurant location and were incredibly impressed, especially considering they’ve only been open for about two weeks. First, a special shoutout to our server, Jamila. She struck that perfect balance of professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness that makes a dining experience memorable. She was knowledgeable, genuinely welcoming, consistently proactive without ever hovering, and handled a very busy restaurant with grace and confidence. Restaurant leadership should know they have a standout team member representing them. The food was excellent across the board. I ordered the Trio of Medallions, three perfectly cooked filet medallions with different accompaniments and flavors that made the dish feel elevated without being overly heavy. My sons ordered the Braised Short Rib Risotto and the Gnocchi Carbonara, and both dishes disappeared quickly with rave reviews. One thing I really liked was the BIN pairing system on the menu, which makes wine selection approachable even for guests who may not know much about wine pairings. That said, I went with my own choice, the Cooper’s Hawk Pinot Noir and it was fantastic. Dessert was equally memorable. The Salted Caramel Crème Brûlée had incredible flavor and richness, even if the texture was a little softer than my personal preference. We also ordered the S’more Budino, which was absolutely indulgent and worth saving room for, and its big enough to share. Beyond the food itself, the entire experience felt polished and thoughtfully executed. The sommelier was excellent, the wine selection is genuinely impressive, and I loved the added touch of the truffle chocolate counter near the entrance of the restaurant. No newly opened restaurant is going to operate flawlessly during its first couple of weeks, but what stood out most was how well-run and organized everything already feels. The staff handled the crowds professionally, the atmosphere was lively without feeling chaotic,

We dine here weekly and this is hands down our favorite local restaurant. The menu is varied and seasonal specials provide great variety. The service is always excellent and the management is outstanding. One of our favorite servers (Taylor) took care of us on this visit and, as usual, was amazing. This month’s specials are some of the best they have served; the Poblano Pepper Enchiladas are terrific and the Orange Chicken is too.

Our Waitress was fantastic, food was great, and it wasn't to crowded or loud. Prices were reasonable and similar to comparable restaurants. Would recommend and visit again.

Tidewater Grill's food was excellent; we had their Fish and Chips. The preparation was fresh and well done. Our meal was done as a takeaway, since the restaurant was closing for service when we arrived. They were able to accommodate us and prepared our order fresh to go.
